Destinations are described after a visit. Where a place is covered from research, the article is labelled as a preview rather than a guide.
Dive and activity information
Dive sites, conditions and operator details are checked with local operators and cross-referenced against the season. Depth, visibility and difficulty ratings reflect what is typical, not the best day of the year.
Seasonality and honesty
Every destination has a bad season, and we say when it is. A guide that promises perfect weather twelve months a year is not useful to anyone.
Independence
Marcus Webb writes and photographs the material here. Operators do not pay for coverage, and no trip is taken in exchange for a positive article. Where an affiliate booking link exists, it is disclosed.
